As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will design, build and support reporting and information outputs using Power BI, with exposure to and the opportunity to contribute to the wider Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse) as adoption matures. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions through analytics, reporting, automation opportunities and data visualisations, primarily using low-code and no-code tools, with scope to leverage traditional coding for more complex requirements. The role plays a key part in enabling better decision making across the organisation by improving access to trusted, well-governed information and supporting a self-serve reporting culture.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and build interactive reports, data visualisations and dashboards with Power BI
- Enable and promote self-serve reporting by developing reusable datasets, reports and standards that empower users to access information independently
- Design and maintain robust data models
- Identify and address inefficiencies in data processing
- Maintain systems and procedures to keep data feeds up-to-date and relevant
- Contribute to the design and development of applications using Power Apps as part of the team’s future platform capability
- Identify opportunities for process automation and support the use of Power Automate where appropriate
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide support, and ensure successful solution delivery
- Develop and update technical documentation
- Ensure change control processes are adhered to across reporting, information delivery and low-code solutions
- Ensure reporting, analytics and automation solutions are designed according to best practice and aligned to C&C data and governance policies
- Keep current with new features, tools, and best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem
About you
- Minimum 2-3 years in a data-focused role
- Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1) or equivalent work experience in a STEM field
- Exposure to or interest in low-code platforms and automation (e.g. Power Platform)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (desirable)
- Experience in business-facing roles (desirable)
- Strong experience with Power BI, with understanding of the wider Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) or a willingness to develop capabilities in these areas
- Proficient in SQL
- Strong practical experience with DAX, Power Query and Excel, including building maintainable and well structured reporting models
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align data solutions with business goals
- Ability to present findings clearly and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
