About the role
The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely replenishment of a defined product portfolio at their designated depot. This includes managing the delivery of goods from suppliers into the warehouse, guided by forecast data and recommended order files.
They hold full accountability for achieving the Customer Availability KPI and will lead all associated activities to meet this target. A key part of the role involves minimising stock age write-offs and optimising warehouse capacity.
Collaboration is central to success in this role. The Supply Planner will work closely with the wider Supply Planning community, Inventory Analysts, Demand Planning, and Depot teams to ensure seamless operations.
They will also build strong, influential relationships with suppliers to secure optimal outcomes for each transaction. Acting as the primary point of contact for On Time performance at the depot, they serve as a vital link between the Supply Planning department and depot operations.
In addition, they will represent depot needs in Supply Chain meetings and drive process improvements within their location to enhance overall planning efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain, plan and replenish indicated portfolio of products based on deliveries schedules & forecast
- Manage the parameters of the portfolio & planning tool (Bin levels, MOQ’s, Order Multiples, Lead Time, Stock Age Risks, etc)
- Key KPI: In Full, supported by availability and inventory KPIs (inc. Stock Age Risks)
- Raise and manage purchase orders to our warehouse following established processes
- Manage uplifts returns to suppliers (Planning & relationships)
- Establish strong relationship with suppliers in cooperation with Inventory Analyst, Depot Teams, Demand Planning, Commercial and Product Data departments
- Constantly liaise with Goods in / Operational Teams & Inbound receipt query resolution
- Pro-actively communicate any items at risk of impacting customer service
- Feedback on any unfulfilled demand root causes
- Perform tasks as requested by Manager
- Ownership of all stock queries (IF) for the Depot
- Observer Role: Stock Integrity
About You
You\’ll have a proven track record of achievement in a Planning Role (supply or demand planning), experience of the GB drinks industry and a working knowledge of the Supply Chain processis preferable.
