Are you a multi-trade engineer looking to transition from hands-on work into a surveyor role? At CC Cousins, we are expanding our team and seeking a competent individual with good knowledge of the building construction industry. Those with a background in facilities maintenance would be highly advantageous.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects, analysing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine overall costs including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor expenses. You will also oversee the project lifecycle from start to completion, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout.
SMALL WORKS PROJECT ESTIMATOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyse specifications and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost assessments.
- Cost management (materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors).
- Attend site visits and site surveys to complete quotations, meeting with clients onsite when required to gather all information required to allow a detailed quotation to progress.
- Building strong vendor and subcontractor relations.
- Prepare and present detailed estimate reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondences.
- Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are compliant with company standards and regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations regarding project costs.
- Provide ongoing support during the construction phase to address any changes or discrepancies in the original estimate.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
