ABOUT US: CC Cousins are a busy, growing Facilities Solutions company who have been established for more than 40 years. To further enhance our team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Approved Electrician, holding a valid JIB Gold Card and 18th Edition qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across a range of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting electrical installations in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment (Fault finding/ LED Upgrades/ Board Changes).
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues.
- Always ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and plans.
- Collaborating with other trades and team members to ensure successful job completion.
- Providing guidance and support to apprentices and junior team members.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Keeping abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an Approved Electrician.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties in various environments and conditions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- JIB/ ECS Gold card.
- 18th Edition 2nd amendment.
- City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations (or Equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent (Advantageous).
- PTS-FA-3 & PTA-EM-1 (Advantageous).
- 2922-34 (advantageous).
- 2923-34 (advantageous).
