An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in Bank, London. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a prestigious commercial building located in the heart of Central London. The building covers a total of 250,000 sq ft, which is spread across 9 stories of luxury office space. Major transportation hubs, such as Bank Station, Moorgate Station, and Liverpool Street Station, are all within a 10‑minute walk from the commercial office.
The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G, NVQ or apprenticeship trained) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working alongside a team of 4 engineers, you will be required to carry out PPM & reactive maintenance across the site. In return, the company is willing to offer a competitive salary of up to £46,000.00, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, excellent career progression opportunities, further mechanical training, company pension scheme and plenty of overtime available.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 07:00 am to 16:00 pm / 09:00 am - 18:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor mechanical plant Pumps, motors, seals and bearings
- Air conditioning – air handling units / fan coil units (filter changes, cleaning)
- Water treatment (temperature checks / not dosing)
- Plumbing – unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
- Monitor the BMS systems
- Basic electrical duties (lamp changes etc)
- General building fabric
- Escort specialist subcontractors
Requirements:
- Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 (essential)
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi‑skilled
- Good communication skills
- Client facing
