An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based near Liverpool Street, London has arisen! We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based across a high-end commercial portfolio in Central London. The successful candidate will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across these commercial buildings while acting as the main engineering representative on site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £48,000, overtime, further training, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Package & Working Hours
- Basic salary of up to £48,000
- Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 17:00
- 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) based near Baker Street
- 1 in‑1 call out
- £100 standby allowance
- £5,200 a year Minimum 4‑hour overtime payment if called out
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
- Lighting maintenance (fault finding, lamping, small works)
- Emergency lighting tests
- Control panels and electrical fault‑finding
- BMS monitoring and basic operation
- HVAC plant maintenance
- Pumps, motors, cooling systems and water treatment tasks (L8)
- Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance
- Maintain and update logbooks and compliance records
- Manage contractor visits and planned maintenance schedules via CAFM systems
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed SLAs
- Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner
- Be proactive in identifying faults and resolving issues quickly
- Ensure all Health & Safety issues are reported/escalated as required
- Maintain strong communication with the client and site teams
- Remain flexible regarding site attendance and workload requirements
- Escort specialist subcontractors where required
Requirements
- Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 & 3
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Strong electrical fault‑finding experience
- Multi‑skilled with mechanical knowledge
- Experience with HVAC, BMS and water systems advantageous
- Strong CAFM knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Client facing
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently
