Mechanical Maintenance Manager - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Healthcare CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for three Mechanical Maintenance Managers to join our facilities management client’s healthcare contract in Birmingham. The successful candidates will support the delivery of a high-quality mechanical maintenance service across a complex healthcare estate. This is a site-based opportunity supporting a major healthcare estate in Birmingham. The role will involve managing mechanical maintenance activities, engineering teams, contractors and day-to-day services across the estate. Package: Competitive salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Core hours are Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week) Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Generous workplace pension scheme Training, development & progression opportunitiesResponsibilities: Manage and support the delivery of mechanical maintenance services across the healthcare estate. Plan and monitor planned preventative maintenance across mechanical plant and equipment. Supervise engineers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and effectively. Monitor maintenance standards, response times and quality of works. Ensure compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements. Review contractor RAMS and carry out site inspections where required. Support condition surveys, lifecycle works and maintenance projects. Assist with budgets, procurement and supplier management. Manage staff performance, rotas, training and appraisals. Carry out audits, inspections and safety checks. Support emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rota when required. Work closely with the wider Estates and Facilities team across the site.Requirements: Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent. Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, engineering, estates or facilities management. Good knowledge of mechanical building services and maintenance. Experience supervising staff, contractors or subcontractors. Strong understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively within a busy, multi-disciplinary healthcare environment. Healthcare experience would be advantageous.
