- My client is seeking an
- LVAP Electrical Shift Engineer to be based at a large commercial building located in
King's Cross, London .
The successful candidate will be electrically biased and hold a relevant electrical qualification (C&G / NVQ), with experience working within a commercial building environment.
The engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance across this commercial building, alongside general building services and plant monitoring.
In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to
£50,000 , further training and career progression.

- Continental Shift - 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6 off, 4 days

- Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out LV electrical maintenance and fault-finding across the building
- Lighting - small installations, fault-finding, lamping, changing ballasts, control panels and power distribution
- Emergency lighting
- Air Conditioning - AHUs / FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning
- Chillers - resetting and basic monitoring
- Water treatment - temperature checks (not dosing)
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Plumbing - including unblocking toilets
- Pumps and motors
- BMS system monitoring
- Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them
- Ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required
- Maintain informal communication with client staff regarding service levels and issues
- Report service-affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client
- Remain flexible regarding site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency
- Be fully aware of relevant Health & Safety and general legislative matters

Requirements
- Electrically qualified to Level 3 or equivalent (C&G / NVQ etc.)
- 18th Edition
- LVAP authorised / LVAP experience
- Experience working within a large commercial building
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to get to the site for a 07:00 start
