Shift Engineer - Client Direct - Excellent Benefits - East London - £52,000
Exciting opportunity to work at a commercial campus situated by Whitechapel.
CBW are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to cover a commercial campus.
The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically qualified (C&G or NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
This is an ongoing permanent role and pays a yearly salary of £52,000 (including shift allowance) + excellent benefits based on qualifications and experience, inclusive of shift allowance.
- Key duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance
- Lighting (Small installation, Fault‑finding, Lamping, Changing ballasts, Control panel, Power distribution)
- Emergency lighting tests
- Air Conditioning – Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing – Unblocking toilets
- BMS System – Monitor (i. e. Hot & Colds)
- Escort / organise sub‑contractors
- Attend client meetings if required
- Ensure site log books are kept up to date
- Hours of work
- 4 on 4 off days & nights
Package
- Salary of £48,000 + £4,000 shift allowance
- 30 days holiday

Requirements
- Electrically or mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 3
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
