Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a commercial building in
Hatfield, Hertfordshire .
The successful candidate will join an established maintenance team, carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building.
This role would suit a mechanically qualified engineer with a strong background in commercial building maintenance who is looking for a stable Monday to Friday position with no call-out.
In return, the company is offering a salary of up to £45,000, overtime, further training and genuine opportunities for career progression.

- Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Monitoring and maintaining mechanical plant and equipment.
- Maintenance of pumps, motors, seals and bearings .
- Maintaining AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.
- Carrying out water hygiene checks, including temperature monitoring.
- Completing general plumbing repairs such as unblocking toilets and replacing taps, washers and associated components.
- Monitoring BMS systems and reporting any issues.
- Carrying out basic electrical duties, including lamp changes.
- Supporting general building fabric maintenance where required.
- Escorting and supervising specialist subcontractors.
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests and ensuring works are completed efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is carried out in line with site procedures and health & safety requirements.

- City & Guilds Level 2 Mechanical qualification –
Essential
- Proven experience within commercial building maintenance.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Multi-skilled approach with basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
- Good understanding of mechanical building services.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
