Air Conditioning Engineer- Central Belt - Salary up to £47,000
CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance company.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of commercial contracts across the Central Belt of Scotland, carrying out small installations and reactive maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on systems such as VRV/VRF, split units, chillers, and heat pumps.
- Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment in line with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
- Complete site surveys and provide technical recommendations for upgrades or replacements where necessary.
- Ensure all works are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard with minimal disruption to the client.
- Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance paperwork for all site visits.
- Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and office staff to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, product developments, and compliance regulations.
Person Specification
- City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and F-Gas Certificate (Category 1)
- Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems.
- Strong knowledge of VRF systems, chillers, and heat pump technology.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Ability to manage workload across PPM, compliance, and reactive maintenance tasks.
