We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team on a critical site in Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to work in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to ensure the continued reliability and performance of essential systems. The building consists of amenities such as a fitness centre, cafe and bar, showers, meeting rooms and a roof terrace. Great transport links to Canary Wharf, including the Jubilee line, Elizabeth line and DLR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
  • Emergency lighting tests
  • Control Panels
  • Changing Ballast
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • Pumps, motors
  • Compliance and logbooks
  • Chillers and pressurisation units
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
  • Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365/2391, 18th Edition).
  • Proven experience working in a critical environment (e.g. data centre, financial, hospital, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of PPM & reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to work on a continental shift rota (days & nights).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
