Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Zones 1-2 Travelcard + Overtime
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
The Opportunity: We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing maintenance providers in London and the South East. As a Cover Engineer, you'll work across a portfolio of high-end commercial office buildings, stepping in during planned and unplanned absences (e.g., holidays, sickness) of site-based engineers. You'll also assist with quoted works and tenant maintenance projects. This role offers variety, autonomy, and clear progression into senior roles such as Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support across multiple commercial office sites
- Carry out both electrical and mechanical PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance
- Support tenant and project works, ensuring smooth delivery of additional services
- Manage and liaise with subcontractors for specialist services
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including:
- Fire alarms
- Emergency lighting
- Water treatment
- HVAC systems, including AHUs and FCUs
What We're Looking For:
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Confident, client-facing, and reliable with strong communication skills
- Willing to travel within Zones 1-2 and work semi-static across key sites
Salary & Package:
- Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
- Zones 1-2 Travelcard
