Site based Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Wetherby - Global Facilities Management Organisation. CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our global facilities management client's team based in Wetherby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and grow within a supportive environment. As part of the team, you will assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems across a range of facilities.
This role also offers a clear progression path into an Automation Technician position, providing the opportunity to develop specialist skills in automated systems, controls, and industrial technology as you advance within the business.
Package:
- Competitive salary between £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of conveyors, cranes, and automated warehouse systems
- Support fault finding on automated and PLC-controlled equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on storage and handling systems
- Work alongside experienced engineers to troubleshoot mechanical and automation faults
- Adhere to health and safety procedures when working at height, in confined spaces, and low-oxygen environments
- Complete maintenance records and support general site maintenance tasks
- Participate in training and development to build automation and maintenance knowledge
Qualifications:
- Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of senior engineers
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
