Mobile Water Treatment Technician β Birmingham β National Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial & Public Sector
We are currently seeking skilled Mobile Water Treatment Technicians to join our water treatment contract, supporting a large healthcare contract across multiple sites in the West Midlands, with additional coverage across other contracts within the Birmingham and Coventry region.
We are currently recruiting for three positions, with opportunities available for both Experienced and Junior Water Treatment Technicians.
Package
- Experienced Water Treatment Technician β Β£35,000 - Β£37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Junior Water Treatment Technician β Β£28,000 - Β£30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Van & Fuel Card supplied
- Core hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Participation in 'out of hours' on call rota
- Training, development & progression opportunities
Responsibilities
- Carry out temperature monitoring, showerhead descales, TMV servicing and water sampling
- Complete cold water storage tank inspections and cleans, along with general water treatment and hygiene duties
- Carry out water softener servicing, closed system works, chlorine testing and internal chlorifier inspections, where experienced
- Complete planned and reactive water treatment works across healthcare and commercial sites throughout the region
- Work in accordance with relevant water hygiene, legionella regulations and client requirements
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and site logs
- Work independently or alongside experienced technicians depending on level of experience
- Support the wider team and continue to develop knowledge and experience across a range of water treatment activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience within water treatment, water hygiene or legionella is required
- City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) qualification relevant to the role
- Up-to-date knowledge of technical regulations including: water supply, regulations/byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274
- Proven ability in fault diagnosis and resolution
- Relevant industry qualifications would be advantageous
- Level 2 Plumbing qualification would be desirable for experienced candidates
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Must be able to successfully obtain an Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check
