Site based Air Conditioning Engineer – Castle Donington – National Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial
CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client\’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.
This is a site based opportunity, located in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.
Package Competitive salary of £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Core hours are Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week between 6:00am – 10:00pm
Participation in \’out of hours\’ on call rota
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment
Qualifications Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication and customer service skills
