An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading FM service provider as a Van or Foot Mobile Maintenance Engineer covering a portfolio of prestigious commercial buildings across Central London. We are looking to speak with both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers who have experience working within commercial building maintenance environments. Whether your background is electrically or mechanically biased, this role offers a varied workload, excellent training opportunities, and genuine career progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and general building services maintenance across multiple commercial sites. Engineers can work on either a Foot Mobile or Van Mobile basis, depending on preference. Foot Mobile Engineers will be provided with a Zones 1-2 Travel Card to travel between sites, whilst Van Mobile Engineers will receive a company van and fuel card.

Salary & Package

  • Salary up to £48,000 per annum

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
  • Overtime available

Electrical Duties

  • PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial electrical systems
  • Emergency lighting testing and repairs
  • Fire alarm testing and fault finding
  • Single and three-phase power systems
  • Lighting installations and upgrades
  • Distribution boards and circuit tracing
  • Small electrical works and project tasks
  • Socket, switch and containment repairs
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
  • UPS systems and standby power systems
  • BMS monitoring and basic controls fault finding
  • Landlord compliance checks

Mechanical Duties

  • Pumps, motors, seals and bearings
  • AHUs and FCUs
  • Heating and hot water systems
  • Pressurisation units and booster sets
  • Pipework and valves
  • Water temperature monitoring
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • General HVAC maintenance
  • Mechanical plant inspections
  • Reactive mechanical fault finding

General Building Services Duties

  • PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Building fabric repairs
  • Escorting specialist contractors
  • Site inspections and plant checks
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records via PDA
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service to building occupiers

Requirements

  • City & Guilds, NVQ, C&G 2360, 2330, 2357, Level 3 Electrical Installation, Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience within commercial building maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding abilities
  • Good understanding of building services maintenance
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred for Van Mobile positions
