CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management Service Provider for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based at a prestigious commercial office building in Charing Cross, London. The successful candidate will have a mechanical/plumbing bias, holding a relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification, and will bring a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working as part of a collaborative on-site maintenance team of 2 Engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance across the building. In return, the client offers a competitive salary of up to £43,000, alongside strong opportunities for further training and career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pumps, motors, seals, and bearings maintenance and repair
  • Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
  • Air conditioning servicing of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), including filter changes and cleaning
  • Water treatment temperature monitoring and compliance checks
  • Plumbing reactive works including unblocking toilets, replacing taps, and general plumbing repairs
  • BMS monitoring and basic operation (hot and cold water systems, LTHW, DHWS, CHW)

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

22 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Requirements

  • Mechanical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational and team-working abilities
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable
