Are you a Shift Leader looking for a new challenge? Are you a Shift Technician looking for promotion? Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for an M&E HVAP Shift Leader to work on a prestigious contract in London.
You will provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial, occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service. You will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance works to Electrical, HVAC plant and associated equipment. The successful candidate will be Electrically or Mechanically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
Working as part of a small shift team you will be required to liaise with clients, other service partners and contract support functions throughout the business via telephone and email, therefore excellent communication and computer operation skills are a requirement for this position.
Hours of work: Continental Shift Pattern - Days & Nights 19:00pm to 07:00am & 07:00am to 19:00pm
Key duties & Responsibilities:- Establish good working relationships with the client Facilities Management Team, to ensure proactive, open, and co-operative partnership.
- Monitor component, system and building performance against target profiles via Building Management System and alert platform.
- Contribute information as required for regular and exception reports.
- Propose variations or modifications to modes of operation and or the times of operation of systems to minimise energy consumption.
- Invoke escalation when required through established communication channels.
- Ensure required documentation and records are maintained in line with company processes and procedures.
- Responsible for incident management and completion of associated forms.
- Ensure the shift log is kept up to date with relative and informed information that proactively assists the shift Team deliver to a constant high standard.
- Ensure the shift handover report is submitted before the end of shift without exception.
- Ensure all asset and operational issues are clearly recorded to meet contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building layout, functions, and complexities through developed practices through scenario drills, continuous assessments, staff training and personal development.
- Ensure a consistent and up to date understanding of site and asset operational status, utilising the Building Management System.
- Mechanically or Electrically qualified City & Guilds 1 & 2, 2357 and AM2 or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
- To be conversant with electrical plant related building services PPM's carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting reactive work.
- Requirement to complete critical environment training, and to carry out scenario training as per schedule, guide and train shift team on SOPs/EOPs etc.
- Experience with LV switchgear, HV generation and control systems (Desirable / Not essential).
- HV & LV Authorised Person (Highly desirable / Not essential).
