Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / HIU Engineer – FM Service Provider – Canary Wharf – £47,500 + Package
Are you a Mechanical Engineer / HIU Engineer looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work for a leading Facilities Maintenance provider? CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Static Mechanical / HIU engineer / Plumber to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance across a high-end residential contract. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in high-end residential building maintenance. This position would be ideal for a maintenance Plumber with HIU experience currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. You will be working within a team of 5 on site. In return, the company are offering a competitive salary of up to £47,500 with a potential route into further career progression. This role will be 3 days of HIU maintenance and 2 days working on the mechanical systems in the building carrying out ppm's and reactives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Exchange of domestic central heating system components including radiators, cylinders, tanks, and system controls
- Power flushing of central heating systems
- Close down the reactive completed works as per the site requirement and report issues back to the contract support desk
- Undertake plumbing tasks to domestic and commercial installations including pressure systems, FCUs, pipe work, radiators, valves, pumps and motors
- Increases pressure in pipe systems and observes connected pressure gauge systems to test for leaks
- Hot & cold water systems, Calorifiers, Boilers, Legionella Control, general Plumbing services
- Cold water storage tanks
- Strong knowledge and experience in working with HIU
- Communicating with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates on work progress, and address any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, installations, and compliance documentation
Hours of Work & Package Information
- Basic Salary of up to £47,500
- Call out - 1 in 3
- Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm / 10am – 7pm
- 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
- Tablet & Work Phone Provided
- Full company uniform
Requirements
- Plumbing - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential)
- Plumbing - City & Guilds Level 3 (Desirable)
- HIU Experience
- Experience of high end residential maintenance
- Must be able to pass a DBS check or have a current DBS (Essential)
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
