Shifts Fabric Engineer in London

Shift-Based Fabric Engineer – Birmingham – Global Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG CBW Staffing Solutions are looking for two experienced and qualified Fabric Engineers to join our client's on-site facilities team based in Birmingham. You'll be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across the building fabric, including general building repairs, plumbing and sanitaryware replacements, minor joinery, decoration and small-scale groundworks. You'll also undertake repointing, paving repairs, fence maintenance and assist with office or desk moves when required. This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy FMCG environment, ensuring the site remains safe, fully operational and well maintained. We have two opportunities available, working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 10am–10pm. Package Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum 4 on 4 off shift pattern Working hours: 10am–10pm Out-of-hours on-call rota (TBC) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Training, development & progression opportunities Responsibilities Carry out reactive and planned building fabric maintenance and repairs Perform general plumbing repairs and replace sanitaryware, including taps and toilet components Complete basic groundworks and landscaping repairs, including repointing, paving and fence repairs Undertake minor joinery, carpentry and decoration works Support office moves and furniture relocations Ensure the site remains safe, tidy and presentable Carry out general site cleaning duties when required Respond to maintenance requests and ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard Identify defects and report any remedial works requiring specialist attention Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Fabric Engineer or building maintenance role At least one recognised trade qualification in a relevant discipline, such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and decorating, or another building maintenance trade Strong background in commercial building maintenance Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, climbing and standing for extended periods Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible approach to working within a shift-based environment If you're an experienced and qualified Fabric Engineer looking for a new challenge within a stable and well-established facilities management organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
