Electrical Maintenance Engineer (AP) – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Stratford, East London – up to £55,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Stratford, East London has arisen!

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with HVAP experience or a desire to get into HV work.

Based in a commercial building in Stratford, East London.

He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across this commercial building as well as act as the technical person for shutdowns and critical maintenance

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance and critical systems.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Package & working hours

  • A basic salary of up to £55,000
  • Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00 - 2 / 4 Saturdays per month worked, paid as overtime
  • HVAP training provided - £1200 bonus once HV

  • Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
  • Emergency lighting tests
  • Act as the site High Voltage (HV) Authorised Person and ensure all HV operations are carried out in accordance with company procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Manage and control the HV network, including issuing and cancelling permits, switching operations, and maintaining HV safety documentation where required
  • Provide technical support and guidance on electrical safety and HV systems to site personnel and contractors
  • Control Panels
  • Changing Ballast
  • BMS System - Monitor (i. e. Hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Pumps, motors
  • Compliance and logbooks
  • Chillers and pressurisation units
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
  • Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

  • Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2&3
  • City & Guilds - 18th Edition
  • Previous or expired HVAP
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
