CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading global facilities management provider, supporting a critical healthcare site in Leeds. This role is ideal for a Senior Mechanical Engineer ready to take the technical lead on site, combining hands-on engineering with day-to-day leadership, compliance oversight and client interaction within a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Package:
- Salary up to Β£37,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- 25 days annual leave & bank holidays

Responsibilities:
- Act as the Lead Mechanical Engineer on site, setting standards and providing technical direction to the engineering team
- Carry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical works
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, plumbing, pipework and plant equipment
- Provide hands-on support for complex or critical mechanical faults
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, statutory and healthcare regulations
- Act as a key point of contact for the client, providing updates, reports and technical guidance
- Manage service documentation, permits to work, risk assessments and CMMS records
- Coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers when required
Requirements:
- City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)
- Minimum 3 years experience within building services or facilities maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of commercial mechanical systems (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, boilers, etc.)
- Experience working within a commercial or healthcare FM environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead by example on site
- Solid understanding of H&S legislation and compliance standards
