Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced FRA Carpenters to work on ongoing fire door and fire stopping contracts across North and East London. The ideal candidate will have experience in passive fire protection works, particularly in fire door installation, remedial work, and compartmentation upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Fire door installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with current regulations (BM Trada or FIRAS registered works beneficial)
- Carrying out fire stopping works, including intumescent sealing, fire batts, and mastic application
- Ensuring all work complies with industry and client standards
- Recording and documenting works via tablets or mobile systems
- Working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (Essential)
- Experience in passive fire protection (fire doors/fire stopping)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- CSCS card (preferred)
- FIRAS or BM Trada accreditation (advantageous, not essential)
