An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Energy Building Performance Engineer to join a leading facilities and building services environment working across a prestigious commercial portfolio in London.
This role is ideal for a technically strong and data-driven engineer with experience in building performance, energy optimisation, and building services systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing building performance data, improving energy efficiency, supporting sustainability initiatives, and driving optimisation strategies across a multi-site portfolio.
Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders, the position offers the chance to work on high-profile, technically challenging sites while contributing towards energy reduction and Net Zero objectives.
- Monitor and analyse building performance and energy consumption data across a commercial portfolio
- Support the implementation of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Carry out building performance assessments, energy audits, and site surveys
- Analyse HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems performance
- Work closely with operational maintenance teams to improve asset efficiency and maintenance strategies
- Investigate and resolve energy-related issues and performance concerns
- Support BMS optimisation and data-led engineering solutions
- Produce reports and recommendations based on analytics and system performance
- Assist with carbon reduction and environmental compliance initiatives
- Support the delivery of Net Zero and sustainability strategies
- Support the implementation of metering, monitoring, and controls strategies
Degree, qualification, or equivalent experience within Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Engineering or similar.
Previous experience within building performance, energy management, sustainability, or data analytics environments.
Strong understanding of commercial building services and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and optimisation strategies.
Understanding of mechanical plant including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, heat networks, refrigeration, and renewable technologies.
Knowledge of controls, metering systems, and energy monitoring platforms.
Experience supporting carbon reduction or sustainability initiatives is advantageous.
UK Driving License (Not essential).
