Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - FM Service Provider - Fenchurch Street, London - £55,000 per annum

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join a landlord-managed commercial office building in Fenchurch Street.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and hands-on Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day engineering operations of a well-maintained multi-let commercial property.

Working directly on behalf of the building ownership, you will oversee one on-site Maintenance Engineer, coordinate specialist subcontractors, and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and minor project works across the building.

We are seeking an individual with a strong electrical building services background who enjoys leading from the front, maintaining high engineering standards, and building positive relationships with occupiers, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Supervise and support one on-site Maintenance Engineer, providing technical guidance and day-to-day leadership.
  • Manage the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Remain hands-on where required, carrying out fault finding, repairs, and general building services maintenance.
  • Coordinate and oversee specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are completed to the required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure statutory compliance through the completion and review of maintenance records, plant logbooks, and site documentation.
  • Monitor health & safety standards, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Support the operation and reliability of all mechanical and electrical building services, responding promptly to plant faults and operational issues.
  • Liaise with the landlord's representatives, occupiers, and contractors to ensure excellent communication and a high standard of customer service.
  • Assist with minor works, quotations, and lifecycle maintenance planning to ensure the building is maintained to a high standard.
  • Ensure KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations are consistently achieved while maintaining a professional and proactive approach to service delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory, Lead Engineer, or Senior Engineer role within a commercial Facilities Management environment.
  • Strong electrical building services knowledge, with a good understanding of mechanical systems and statutory compliance.
  • Experience supervising engineers and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
  • Confident in fault finding, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance within occupied commercial buildings.
  • Good understanding of health & safety legislation, permit-to-work systems, and safe systems of work.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, occupiers, and contractors.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example and deliver a high standard of engineering service.
