A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing building services contractor delivering maintenance services across a portfolio of Council properties throughout London and the surrounding areas. CBW is currently recruiting for a Plumbing Engineer to carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, installation works and plumbing upgrades across residential properties.
The successful candidate will have experience working on domestic plumbing systems, with strong fault-finding and repair skills. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £38,000, company van & fuel card, readily available overtime and excellent career progression opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Carry out reactive plumbing repairs within Council properties.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, water pressure issues and plumbing faults.
- Repair and replace sanitary ware, including taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers and associated fittings.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on domestic heating systems, including radiators, pumps, valves and pipework.
- Complete planned maintenance, void works and installation projects.
- Carry out bathroom, kitchen and plumbing upgrade works.
- Undertake leak repairs and water containment works.
- Complete testing, commissioning and quality checks following repairs.
- Complete job reports and update records using a PDA.
- Provide excellent customer service when working in residents' homes.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Summer (April-September): 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Winter (October-March): 8:00am - 6:00pm
- Average 42.5-hour working week
- 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Overtime readily available

- £32,000 - £38,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

- Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday-Friday
- Overtime paid at 2x weekends
- £120 standby payment while on call

- Proven experience carrying out domestic plumbing repairs and installations
- Experience working with hot & cold water systems, sanitaryware, radiators and heating components
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working within Social Housing, Housing Association or Local Authority contracts (desirable)
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification (desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
