Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated in Westminster. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer for a temporary contract based in a hotel. He or she will have a proven track record as a Fabric Engineer, ideally with experience within hotels.
Hours of work / contract details:
- 8am - 5pm
- Monday - Friday
- Temporary ongoing
- Up to £20 per hour (umbrella)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- General fabric repairs
- Furniture moves porterage
- Painting & Decorating
- Basic lighting
- Fixing furniture
- Hanging pictures & shelves
- Maintain and update log books
- Assist the maintenance team on site e.g. PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
- Escort sub-contractors
- To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
Requirements:
- A proven track record in fabric maintenance
- Hotel work experience advantageous
- Good communication skills
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice
