CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our national client on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading provider of facilities management solutions, delivering services across commercial and government environments.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a large government contract. This is a mobile role, covering urban areas across Cumbria, working as part of a wider multi-skilled engineering team.
Package:
- Salary: £41,000 - £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
- Company vehicle & fuel card supplied
- Monday - Friday working pattern
- Core hours 8:00am - 5:00pm
- On-call rota: 1 in 8 - 1 in 10
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across government buildings
- Work on emergency lighting, distribution boards and power circuits
- Respond to electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Undertake ad-hoc mechanical and/or fabric repairs where required
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Complete all relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
- Work collaboratively as part of a team of 9-10 engineers across multiple trades
Qualifications:
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 2391 Testing & Inspection beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience within Facilities Management preferred, though candidates from an installation background will be considered
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a wider team
- Must be able to pass BPSS security clearance
