CBW Staffing Solutions are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyperson to join our clients mobile facilities team in Birmingham. You will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs to building fabric, plumbing works and sanitaryware replacements. The role also includes minor joinery, basic decoration, and general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well maintained. This is a hands-on position suited to a multi-skilled individual with a strong background in building fabric and plumbing. This is a mobile opportunity, covering Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Package:

  • Competitive salary up to £30,000 per annum
  • Van & fuel card supplied
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Participation in an out of hours on call rota (to be confirmed)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive building fabric repairs
  • Perform general plumbing repairs and replace sanitaryware (taps, toilet parts, etc.)
  • Undertake minor joinery and decoration works
  • Complete basic groundworks and landscaping repairs (repointing, paving, fence repairs)
  • Support general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe and functional
  • Identify and report faults or defects requiring further attention
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance tasks where required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role
  • Strong background in commercial building maintenance
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the role (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods)
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check
