Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) + overtime + vehicle + benefits

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role covering Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas, focusing on breakdowns, service, and maintenance of a wide range of air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on commercial and residential air conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF).
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform routine servicing and performance checks to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Complete service reports, job sheets, and other documentation to a high standard.
  • Liaise professionally with clients to provide updates and advice.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rota for emergency breakdowns (usually evenings and weekends).

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in air conditioning service and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing faults in AC systems.
  • F-Gas Category 1 Certification (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent.
  • Experience with VRV/VRF systems from manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, or Toshiba.
  • Experience in small-scale installs.
  • CSCS/ECS card.
