An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Reading, Berkshire. The client is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a commercial site located near Reading, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified/biased (C&G or NVQ) and have a good understanding of building services.

The ideal candidate is someone recently qualified and looking for a role that will further their knowledge and practical understanding. The company offers a competitive salary, overtime, and the chance to work at this unique and interesting site.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance on-site.
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Fire Alarms
  • Fault finding
  • Building Management Systems & Electrical Monitoring
  • HVAC Systems, Including Humidifiers
  • Air Handling, Air Conditioning & Chillers
  • Sound knowledge of VAV & FCU Systems
  • Domestic Water Services & Plumbing
  • Pumps, Motors & Variable Speed Drive
  • Gas Boilers
  • Hot Water Calorifiers
  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Water Treatment
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
  • Monitor the BMS systems
  • General building fabric
Hours of Work & Salary:
  • Up to £45,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • Days - 07:00 – 16:00 / 08:00 - 17:00 / 09:00 - 18:00
  • 23 Days Annual Leave
  • Overtime available
  • Call out 1 in 4 - £105 per week
Requirements:
  • Electrical qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 & 3
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Legionella Awareness – L8 ACOP
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly desirable (Not essential) Any further qualifications (i.e. Mechanical or Air Conditioning etc)
