An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and self‑motivated Working Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day engineering operations within a large, high‑profile commercial building in Central London. This is a hands‑on role managing a small team of engineers while remaining actively involved in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the site. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the smooth operation of a busy multi‑use property with a strong focus on service delivery, operational continuity, and presentation standards. You will liaise closely with senior management, specialist contractors, and support teams to ensure all building services are maintained to a high standard.

Hours of Work
Monday - Friday - 08:00am - 17:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and supporting a small on‑site engineering team in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance
  • Carrying out routine plant inspections and ensuring all critical building systems remain fully operational
  • Managing permit‑to‑work procedures and monitoring contractor activities across the estate
  • Producing technical reports, maintenance updates, and compliance documentation
  • Attending regular client and operational meetings to provide engineering support and site updates
  • Acting as the first point of contact for mechanical and electrical faults and coordinating remedial actions
  • Overseeing the maintenance of HVAC, power, lighting, and associated building services systems
  • Liaising with specialist subcontractors and mobile support teams to ensure works are completed efficiently
  • Monitoring PPM completion, maintaining accurate site records, and ensuring all reactive works are closed out within agreed timeframes
  • Supporting the wider facilities operation to maintain high standards within a busy, high‑profile environment
