CBW is recruiting a Mobile Lead Engineer to support a client’s facilities across multiple sites, primarily in Maidenhead (3 days per week) with a secondary site in Sittingbourne, Kent (2 days per week). A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites.
This is a hands-on, senior engineering role where you will act as the key technical resource for the client, providing full operational and maintenance support for mechanical, electrical, and building systems, while ensuring compliance, reliability, and occupant comfort.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the client’s facilities teams, acting as the lead engineer across multiple sites
- Conduct daily checks and preventative maintenance (PPM) on all site assets
- Respond to reactive tasks and emergencies efficiently
- Manage and oversee contractors, including permits, RAMS, and HSE compliance
- Produce clear, compelling reports and maintain site logbooks
- Carry out minor electrical works including lighting installations, fault-finding, lamp replacements, emergency lighting, and fire alarm testing
- Air conditioning maintenance: AHUs / FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic checks)
- Monitor and adjust BMS as required (e.g., hot/cold calls)
- Carry out minor plumbing and building fabric repairs when needed
- Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met
- Participate in client meetings as required

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical (NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Test & Inspection qualification
- 18th Edition Electrical Certificate
- Multi-skilled with strong commercial building maintenance experience (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and basic plumbing/fabric repairs)
- Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, and building fabric systems
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety obligations related to maintenance activities
- Strong communication, organisational skills, and client-facing professionalism
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Positive, proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
