CBW have a new opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a leading facilities provider covering commercial contracts across the Central Belt of Scotland. You will be responsible for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) alongside some reactive maintenance tasks. The role offers variety, with some days involving single-site, single-task visits, while other days may require full-day attendance at one site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical PPM, proactive, and reactive maintenance works as issued through the helpdesk, ensuring completion within agreed timeframes and exceeding customer expectations.
- Undertake general building services maintenance, including basic fabric works, HVAC, mechanical, and associated tasks.
- Respond to client call-outs as part of the agreed on-call rota.
- Perform contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring contractor performance and workmanship to ensure required standards are met.
- Issue Permits to Work in line with site and client procedures.
- Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
- Maintain equipment and surrounding work areas to agreed company and client standards.
- Provide a professional service, representing the company in a manner that ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate performance and ensure that all equipment under contract is serviced and maintained correctly.
- Take a proactive approach to client liaison, addressing concerns directly or escalating to management where required.
- Maintain full awareness of contractual obligations and client requirements at all times.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time, with all documentation and records properly maintained.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments, COSHH, and safe systems of work.
- Proactively identify opportunities for service improvements and innovations to enhance service delivery.
Person Specification
- Background in Facilities Management (FM) or a similar environment, with a clear understanding of mobile working.
- Comfortable with travelling between multiple sites as part of the role.
- Proven experience completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems.
- Fully electrically qualified, holding one or more of the following: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical Installations, AM2.
- Experience working in a mobile maintenance role within commercial environments.
- Experience completing PPM on air conditioning systems.
- F-Gas certification (or working towards).
- Dual-skilled background in Electrical and Air Conditioning (either discipline as the primary trade with the other as a strong secondary skill).
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £45,000.
- Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm.
- 25 days holiday including bank holidays.
