Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider – Pharmaceutical Site – Worthing – Up to £29,661 per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated near Worthing, Sussex. CBW is recruiting a Fabric Engineer to work on a large pharmaceutical site situated in Worthing. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of most general fabric trades. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £29,661, overtime and further training.

Package & Working hours

  • Up to £29,661
  • Monday to Friday 08:00 am – 16:30 pm
  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
  • Further training

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • General fabric repairs
  • Furniture moves porterage
  • Painting & Decorating
  • Basic lighting
  • Fixing Furniture
  • Hanging Pictures & Shelves
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Assist the maintenance team on site e.g PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
  • Escort sub-contractors
  • To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.

Requirements

  • Painting & Decorating qualification or background (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of most building fabric duties
  • Good communication skills
  • Health & Safety experience
  • Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
