A leading FM service provider is seeking a Shift Leader to join a high-profile, mixed-use development in the heart of central London. The site brings together premium office space, flagship retail, and luxury residential living, all maintained to an exceptional standard. You’ll be part of a dedicated, site-based engineering team within a technically advanced, business-critical environment. Working in a small shift team of one to two engineers, you’ll take responsibility for both the technical and operational delivery on shift, ensuring plant performance, compliance, and a consistently high level of service across the building.

Hours of work: Days ONLY 4 on 4 off 7am - 7pm

Key Duties:

  • Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) & Reactive Maintenance is carried out on all client assets using the maintenance system
  • Manage the shift engineering team
  • Carry out hands-on maintenance work when required
  • Ensure plant faults are quickly resolved to maintain continuous operation
  • Perform regular quality checks on work activities, documentation, and housekeeping
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to support ongoing maintenance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and job sheets
  • Prepare, review, and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified electrically or mechanically to a recognised standard
  • Proven experience in building maintenance within a critical site (commercial, blue-chip, or banking)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Multi-skilled knowledge – mechanical/electrical including UPS, generators, and power distribution
  • Good leadership and management skills
