Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want to join one of the world’s leading Facilities Management providers, supporting a prestigious, high-profile site in the heart of the City? CBW is currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer to be based at a recently completed, high‑profile development in the City. The building offers a contemporary, high‑spec working environment within a prominent new landmark. Designed with sustainability and wellbeing at its core, it features exceptional amenities and modern spaces that set a new standard for today’s workplace.
The Lead Engineer will work Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, overseeing maintenance across 30+ tenant floors within the building. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing an on‑site engineering team and building strong relationships with tenants, ensuring a high standard of service and operational excellence throughout the property.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Supervisor
- Arrange specialist sub‑contractors
- Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Contract Manager & Supervisor)
- Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
- Attend client meetings if required
- Lighting (Small installation, Fault‑finding, Lamping, etc)
- Emergency lighting & Fire alarm tests
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
- Statutory Compliance
Hour of Work
Monday to Friday (40 hour week) 08:00am to 17:00pm
25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
Extra Day off for your Birthday
Requirements
- Electrical or Mechanical Qualifications – Level 2/3 – NVQ or City & Guilds Equivalent
- Multi‑Skilled
- Client facing and presentable
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Hard working, honest and reliable
- Familiar with E‑Log books
