The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next career move? We’re working with a leading FM service provider on a prestigious critical commercial site in Fleet Street, London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, high-performing engineering team where the tenants inside the building are high-end blue-chip companies such as investment banks and law firms. You will oversee their UPS and be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring business continuity at a new site in the heart of Central London. The building is expected to be completed for tenants as early as this year; however, this position is available for an immediate start.
As this office is next to Blackfriars, you have easy connections to Southern, Thameslink overground trains and Circle and District trains via underground. Surrounding the commercial office, you will be amongst high rises with local coffee shops and high-value restaurants.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across the site.
- Fault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of systems, including:
- HV/LV distribution
- UPS systems & backup generators
- Lighting, emergency lighting & small power
- Electrical panels and control systems
What We’re Looking For
- Recognised electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2365, 2330, 18th Edition).
- Experience in a commercial building services or critical environment (banking, data centres, corporate sites).
- Strong working knowledge of UPS, generators, and HV/LV systems.
- HV/LV Authorised Person status – desirable but not essential.
- A proactive, flexible engineer who takes ownership and works well in a team.
