Shift-Based Handyperson - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG
CBW Staffing Solutions are looking for two experienced and reliable Handypersons to join our client’s on-site facilities team based in Birmingham.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs to the building fabric, plumbing and sanitaryware replacements, and small-scale groundworks such as repointing, levelling paving slabs and fence repairs. You’ll also undertake minor joinery and decoration work, and assist with office or desk moves when required.
This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy FMCG environment, ensuring the site remains safe, fully operational and well maintained.
We have two opportunities available, working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 10am–10pm.
Package
- - Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum
- - 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- - Working hours: 10am–10pm
- - Out-of-hours on-call rota (TBC)
- - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities
- - Carry out reactive building fabric repairs
- - Perform general plumbing repairs and replace sanitaryware, including taps and toilet components
- - Complete basic groundworks and landscaping repairs, including repointing, paving and fence repairs
- - Undertake minor joinery and decoration works
- - Support office moves and furniture relocations
- - Ensure the site remains safe, tidy and presentable
- - Carry out general site cleaning duties when required
- - Respond to maintenance requests and ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Requirements
- - Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role
- - Strong background in commercial building maintenance
- - Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- - Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, climbing and standing for extended periods
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- - Flexible approach to working within a shift-based environment
