Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - West Midlands - National Facilities Management Organisation
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well established facilities management business, covering sites across the West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and servicing across a range of commercial buildings.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial gas maintenance, with the ability to work independently and deliver a high standard of service.
Package
- Competitive salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Company van and fuel card supplied
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Out of hours on call rota
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays with additional annual leave after long service
- Company sick pay after 12 months' service, subject to criteria
- Insured health cover for up to two years of sickness absence, subject to criteria

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
- Diagnose and repair faults on commercial heating and boiler systems
- Undertake servicing, inspections and gas safety checks
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current legislation and health and safety regulations
- Complete job sheets, maintenance reports and compliance documentationLiaise with clients and site teams to ensure minimal disruption
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Requirements
- Essential gas qualifications: COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1/CDGA1, ICPN1, CPA1, BMP1 and CCP1 (CCN1 and CENWAT are beneficial)
- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer within a facilities management or building services environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on commercial gas systems
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Good communication and customer service skills
