About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automatic Door / Gate Service Engineer to support a high-end residential contract consisting of seven buildings, six of which are based in the Canary Wharf / Greenwich area and one in South West London. You will be responsible for PPM, reactive maintenance, and specialist servicing of automatic doors, gates, and roller shutters across premium residential developments.

- Salary: £45–50k (depending on experience)
- Hours: 07:30–17:00 Mon–Thurs, 07:30–16:00 Fridays
- £160 per month travel allowance
- 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)

- Training opportunities across multiple door/gate systems
Key Duties
- Carry out PPM and servicing on automatic door closers
- Service and maintain automatic gates and automated sliding gates
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on roller shutters
- Install, test, and commission new door and gate systems where required
- Respond to reactive callouts across the residential estate
- Maintain accurate records, service sheets, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and complies with relevant regulations
Requirements
- Experience in servicing and/or installing automatic doors and gates
- Knowledge of multiple door/gate manufacturers and systems
- Experience with roller shutters is preferred
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification (desirable)
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
