An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to help shape and define our next generation of technology solutions that will drive our business forward.
Amco is a £65m turnover Midlands-based, global logistics specialist, providing supply chain solutions that support the critical movement of goods worldwide by road, sea, air, and rail. We serve a wide range of industries and are also specialists in automotive parts logistics, working closely with luxury vehicle manufacturers.

We have many exciting projects in our demand portfolio, and this requires a talented and enthusiastic Business Analyst to engage with business stakeholders and customers to understand data, process, requirements and systems and create the necessary artefacts to guide the business and technical teams towards successful business and technology outcomes.
The Role
- Create and maintain a matrix of desired & needed capabilities across the business
- Work alongside business colleagues to understand and document business process
- Capture, analyse and document business and functional requirements
- Create desired functional and capability outcomes using user stories
- Identify and understand sources of data
- Translate business requirements into clear requirements for technical teams
- Support testing, validation and acceptance activities
- Research and investigate available technology solutions
- Work with solution vendors to understand product capabilities
- Work with the IT team to share business knowledge and develop solutions
- Support and guide solution implementation
- Present findings and analysis to key stakeholders
- Track and monitor post launch success criteria
About You
- You are driven by using technology to create positive business outcomes and you understand how important technology and systems are to successful business operations
- You’ll have proven experience as a Business Analyst (4 years+), with a strong understanding of business processes and the role of technology in driving business change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems and provide clear, actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Understanding of systems integration and software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Ability to work closely with project teams, technical teams, and other business units.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to lead and manage workshops with stakeholders.
- Up to date knowledge of Change methodology and experience in Change Management
- Experience facilitating process redesign and service improvement workshops using recognised improvement methodologies.
- Experience of testing approaches for new processes and systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication to Board level
