The Digital Banking team is seeking a Project Manager II / Technical Project Manager. We are building a banking and payments platform that enables teams to create products at scale that power digital channels to deliver compelling experiences in a dramatically faster fashion. As a Software Project Manager/Technical Project Manager, the identified candidate would leverage their technical knowledge to drive program delivery from beginning to end, across technical, regulatory, and business requirements.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate business objectives into an execution strategy while resolving and tracking program risks, dependencies, and impediments to project delivery. This position works closely with product owners, architects, engineers and quality assurance across multiple teams and products, acting as a single point of contact for the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team in achieving PI deliverables/objectives while improving the team’s long-term performance by encouraging continuous improvement in ways of working.
  • Facilitate Agile events that help engineering deliver value incrementally and iteratively.
  • Drive the engineering team's deliverables throughout the Program Increment (PI) through coaching and facilitating team level events.
  • Enhance technology solutioning conversations while documenting progress and deliverables.
  • Provide positive impact to the delivery lifecycle process: removing obstacles to delivery, coordination of development activities across multiple scrum teams, and implementing standard processes for Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate the creation of implementation roadmaps with support from product and engineering leadership.
  • Coach Product Owners through backlog refinement, backlog readiness, definition of ready/done, writing user stories, and cultivating continuous delivery of business value to end users.
  • Proactively identify and maintain transparency into impediments, risks, and dependencies.
  • Influencing without authority through effective change and leadership management.
  • Respectfully and purposefully challenge the status quo.
  • Facilitate conversations/solutioning between cross platform teams where there may be dependencies or linkages.
  • Championing constant learning to drive improvements and standardization.
  • Inspiring collaboration and quality practices between system architects, Agile teams, and product teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues and surface up impediments with delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline.
  • Additional certifications are preferred- PMI-ACP, PMP, CSM, SSM etc.
  • 6+ years of Software Project Management experience.
  • Previous software engineering experience is a plus.
  • Ability to drive projects end-to-end, work with a diverse set of teams.
  • Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams.
  • Ability to deliver sophisticated software iteratively and with quality to get industry leading solutions to market efficiently and effectively.
  • Deep understanding of Agile at Scale or iterative development processes, including quality and testing standard practices.
  • Excellent oral and written skills needed to efficiently communicate across product, technology, and business partners.
  • Experience using Jira delivery management platform is required.
