About CBTax
CBTax is an award-winning, global R&D tax consultancy firm with offices in Manchester and Northampton in the UK, Dublin serving the Republic of Ireland, and our newest location in New York supporting the US market. As one of the fastest-growing firms in our sector, we specialise in R&D Tax Relief, partnering with businesses across many sectors, including engineering, technology, manufacturing, construction, energy, science, agriculture, and food & beverage to deliver robust claims, commercial value, and fully compliant advice.
About The Role
This is an excellent stepping-stone role for someone who wants to learn the sales process from the inside and progress into a BDE / BDM role over time. It’s a high-impact administrative role sitting inside our sales team. You'll be the engine room behind our US sales teams keeping Salesforce clean, accurate, and ready so that our sales reps can focus on driving commercial value. You'll own data end-to-end: pulling, cleansing, structuring, and uploading it into Salesforce so the sales team can move fast. You'll mostly work UK hours (08:30 – 17:00), with the morning block giving you uninterrupted focus time before the US team comes online. Afternoons will involve handovers and coordination with our US team. On occasion you will be required to match US hours, with notice given. You’ll be allocated this time back.
Key Responsibilities
- Process prospect data sources, formatting and uploading them into Salesforce with high level accuracy
- Cleanse and enrich CRM records — linking websites, company information, and other reference data to our CRM records
- Use tools like Lusha and similar enrichment platforms to populate contact and company data
- Build and maintain prospect lists for the UK and US sales teams, keeping data quality high and duplicates out
- Work closely with the US team to prioritise lists and turn them around quickly
- Occasionally support the UK sales team with ad-hoc data and admin requests
- Spot patterns in the data — flag gaps, broken records, or opportunities to make the process more efficient
What We're Looking For
- Highly organised, naturally detail-oriented, and comfortable working through high volumes of data without losing accuracy
- Confident with technology and IT systems — Excel, CRMs, web-based tools. CRM or Salesforce exposure is a strong plus but not essential
- Self-starter who can work independently in the morning block without needing constant direction
- Reliable, professional, and happy to be the engine that powers a fast-moving sales team
- Comfortable with occasional flex into US hours during busy periods (with notice)
- Degree not required — we care about attitude, work ethic, and how quickly you pick things up
Benefits & Perks
- Commission: You are able to build your own portfolio through client referrals and earn commission.
- Pension: 5% employer pension contribution.
- Healthcare: BUPA healthcare to support your health and well-being.
- Tech Scheme: Access to the latest technology.
- Flex Benefits: Tailor your perks to suit your lifestyle.
- Employee Incentives: A range of excellent employee incentives to ensure your efforts are rewarded.
- Recognition: Get seen. Get rewarded. Get promoted.
