Job title : Content Executive
Salary : £35,000–£40,000
Location : Manchester (office-based). Occasional travel, so ideally a driver.
Role Summary
Youll work closely with our Operations, Commercial, and Technical teams to turn technical R&D work into audience-first content that drives engagement and leads.
You will be responsible for planning, creating, and optimising engaging digital content across multiple channels, including our website, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms. Youll play a key part in strengthening our brand presence, driving engagement, and delivering content that resonates with our audiences. This role will allow you to own and lead all things content for CBTax.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the content calendar and publishing workflow
- Plan, create and publish high-quality content across digital platforms (website, social media, blogs, email and newsletters), producing 812 social posts per week and 12 long-form pieces per month
- Monitor, analyse, and report on content performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Support the development and execution of digital campaigns that align with brand and business goals, for both internal and external audiences
- Manage and update website content using our sites CMS (WordPress)
- Optimise content for SEO and user experience to increase website visibility and engagement
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all content reflects the brand tone of voice, values, and guidelines and is kept up to date with digital content trends and best practices
Must-haves
- 25 years experience in content marketing, communications or agency social role with demonstrable results.
- Experience in B2B professional services, finance, or R&D/tax-related content
- Strong LinkedIn creator experience portfolio of posts showing engagement growth and community-building.
- Excellent copywriting for short and long-form content; strong editorial judgement.
- Ability to convert technical/complex subject matter into plain English for business audiences.
- Experience with CMS, basic analytics and scheduling tools.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to own a calendar and deadlines.
