They are now seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead transformational improvement activity across sourcing and supply chain operations at a key UK manufacturing site. This is a high-impact role where you will influence operational performance, lead strategic improvement initiatives, and help shape the future of supply chain excellence within a highly regulated, complex manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Operational Excellence function, you’ll take ownership of continuous improvement strategy and delivery across sourcing and supply chain operations, driving measurable gains in efficiency, performance, quality, and process capability. You’ll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, lead Lean initiatives, embed best practice, and develop a culture of sustainable improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain functions
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities through data analysis and process review
  • Facilitate Lean workshops, strategic reviews, and cross-functional improvement projects
  • Embed standardised, audit-ready processes supporting operational and regulatory requirements
  • Drive KPI reporting, benefits realisation, and performance tracking across CI activities
  • Champion Lean methodologies and continuous improvement culture across the organisation
  • Coach and develop CI capability within the team and wider business
  • Support best-practice use of SAP and sourcing systems to improve decision-making and data quality
  • Engage with senior leadership to align improvement activity with strategic business objectives

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience within Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Lean-focused roles
  • A track record of delivering measurable business improvement projects
  • Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, or supply chain environments
  • Strong understanding of Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools
  • Confidence analysing operational data and presenting meaningful business insights
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above advantageous)
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP
  • Aerospace, defence, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience would be highly beneficial
