I'm currently supporting an exciting defence engineering organisation with the recruitment of an NPI Quality Engineer / Senior NPI Quality Engineer to join their team in Kidderminster.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in bringing new products into manufacture, working across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure robust processes are in place from prototype through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading quality activities throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
- Driving a "right first time" approach using industry-standard quality methodologies.
- Supporting prototype manufacture, product validation, and production readiness.
- Working with tools such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, 8D, FAIRs and Control Plans.
- Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve quality and operational performance.
- For senior-level candidates, mentoring colleagues, and leading quality improvement initiatives.
- What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and quality planning.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, APQP and PPAP.
- Experience working to quality standards such as ISO9001, EN9100 or similar.
- Defence or aerospace experience would be highly advantageous.
