The Role:
SAP Functional Consultants work directly with both clients and internal teams in a project environment (ECC and S/4) to gather and analyse business requirements for the support and configuration of their specific SAP module(s). Works to understands the businesses functional area and participates in the configuration of product, implementation, maintenance and/or enhancement of SAP modules to align with business requirements. Participates in problem identification and assists or leads in developing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Solution proposal, project implementation, leads, gathers and analyses user business requirements and processes. Understands client requirements, needs, and functionality of the ECC and S/4 product module. Defines and documents business requirements and validates solutions with the client.
- Works with business users to configure the module to translate business requirements into functional design specifications. Defines initial settings, module-relevant security settings and reporting options.
- Understands processes and reporting requirements and user interfaces impacted by the ECC/S/4 system. Identifies modifications and recommends and applies changes as appropriate.
- Provides ongoing SAP functional system support. Communicates and interacts with technical team and client to resolve functional issues to meet client requirements.
- Typical output for the position though not exhaustive would be Requirements Traceability Matrix, Business Process Blueprint, Configuration Documentation, Functionality Specification, Test Scripts, Training Guides.
- Experience of S/4 end to end projects related to own functional area essential.
