My client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major infrastructure and utilities organisation supporting electrical infrastructure projects. This role sits within the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality team and will focus on maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems across complex construction and engineering projects operating under UK CDM 2015 regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Assurance support and guidance across construction and infrastructure projects
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management Systems
- Conduct internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support project teams with quality documentation, procedures, inductions, and compliance activities
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Support project reporting, lessons learned, and quality investigations
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and client standards
Requirements
- Proven Quality Assurance experience within UK construction or infrastructure environments operating under CDM 2015 regulations
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems
- Internal or Lead Auditor experience
- Experience conducting audits, root cause analysis, and process improvement activities
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Quality, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
- CQI Practitioner membership or working towards Chartered status
- Full UK driving licence
